She may have believed she was cleared and freed of all danger after the Crichton-Clark clinic blew up, but Maxie' current problems getting custody of her daughter on  General Hospital could potentially be traced back to a very significant person from her past who was supposed to die during the explosion.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, a theory has been brewing that Maxie's ex-fiance, Levi Dunkleman/Peter Harrell Jr. (Zachary Garred) may have survived Maxie and Nathan's assault and the fire at the clinic-and could be somehow influencing the grudge that Judge Walters appears to have against the couple.

Maxie recently lost another chance at gaining custody of her daughter after Judge Walters informed her he was very much aware that she had defied his orders to stay away from Nathan-and told her to see him again in six months and see if she was ready to be a mother then. The fact that the judge is holding the budding relationship between her and Nathan against her has been declared as unfair-though no one has successfully fought back against it just yet.

And though some have chalked the judge's bizarre rules for Maxie and Nathan to his being power hungry, the website pitches the idea that he is somehow being influenced by Maxie's fake ex-fiance, who attempted to ruin her life to get revenge on her mother, Felicia (Kristina Wagner), for dumping his father several years before.

Levi previously destroyed Maxie's chances at custody and revealed Nathan had lied under oath for her-making the theory that he could be behind this seem more belivable to fans of the show. Added to that, several characters have returned from the dead on the soap recently and been walking around Port Charles once again-specifically, Jason Morgan/Jake (Billy Miller), and Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers).

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
