Reese Witherspoon became a viral holiday decoration when Mindy Kaling made a literal Reese Witherspoon wreath.

LA Times reported on Wednesday that Kaling's newly-invented Wreath Witherspoon is awesome.

Kaling's character Dr. Mindy Lahiri unveiled a decoration for her boyfriend Danny. She called it "the nicest thing in his apartment" in the show.

The do-it-yourself Christmas wreath was covered in several photos of actress Reese Witherspoon. When a photo of it appeared on Twitter, Witherspoon took immediate notice.

"#NewTrendAlert?? The many variations of #WreathWitherspoon via @mindykaling!!!Haha....Love it!!!," the actress tweeted. It received 478 retweets and over 1,700 favorites.

#WreathWitherspoon immediately trended on Twitter and provoked fans to make their very own at home.

The two stars then began complimenting each other on their work as fans began to follow the conversation and weigh in along the way.

The official Twitter page for the show tweeted out: "YES! 'Wreath Witherspoon' Is trending!! Cc: @RWitherspoon <3"

For those who aren't familiar, Mindy Kaling plays a young Ob/Gyn doctor who is followed as she balances her personal and professional life, surrounded by quirky co-workers in a small office, according to IMDb.

The 30-minute series that's one of the most popular shows on television airs on Fox Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c.
