On Saturday, the scene was posted on ABC Family Sneak Peeks where Mariana is practicing her dance routine with Tia watching. Mariana is busting out her moves and giving it her all, but in the last moment she stumbles and doesn't finish properly.

Tia notices the struggle and encourages Mariana, but still tells her that she needs to work on that last step.

Chatter On What Jude Overheard In 'The Fosters' Christmas Special

Mariana has an idea that they could come up with a move that won't be so challenging, but Tia thinks that she should end with a bang so the crowd can be left in awe. With enough practice she should be able to have the dance down, but there's less than a week until the competition.

Mariana then mentions that maybe she should just give up her solo since it might be better for the team. But Tia will not allow that because she doesn't agree with this. She then tells Mariana that when she performs, she is "fierce." She also doesn't want her to bail out after she spent all her time coaching.

All they have to do is work on that last turn. So Mariana agrees and tries again.
