Kevin Hart Claps Back After Sony Execs Call Him 'Money Wh*re' In Email

In the back-and-forth interaction, executive Amy Pascal labeled the 50 First Dates an "a--hole" when he said he must be paid $200 million for an animated movie, Candyland's Hotel Transylvania 2, he would star in. He went on to demand his friend who worked in production to get a raise.

They were unable to reach an agreement.

Pascal got word of Sandler's request via an email from Hannah Minghella who works for Columbia Pictures, which is a part of the Sony family. She sent the message back on Sept. 23 to Pascal and some of their colleagues.

Pascal wrote, "Adam is an [a--hole] and this is more his fault than anyone's but what we did was not communicate with each other and make assumptions. Maybe I didn't pay attention when you were telling me what I was walking into but it also comes from ...no one taking responsibility and I mean myself as it is my responsibility to let you guys know what I want to breath life into."

President of Sony's motion-picture group, Doug Belgrad also gave his opinion on the matter and said that putting Sandler on the Candyland film was to benefit him considering his most recent movies have not done so well.

"You said yourself that Adam was gonna be angry and...you couldn't fix what was really bothering him, that he isn't the guy he once was and nobody can make that better for him."
