Sony Cancels 'The Interview' Release Leaving Hollywood Stunned

Boies said, "Sony only delayed this."

Sony Hackers Send Out A Message After 'The Interview' Is Cancelled

"Sony has been fighting to get this picture distributed. It will be distributed. How it's going to be distributed, I don't think anybody knows quite yet. But it's going to be distributed," he commented.

Previously The Hollywood Reporter reported last Friday that Sony CEO Michael Lynton told CNN, "We have always had every desire to have the American public see this movie. There has not been one major VOD - video on demand distributor - one major e-commerce site that has stepped forward and said they are willing to distribute this movie for us. Again, we don't have that direct interface with the American public so we need to go through an intermediary to do that."

The Interview stars Rogen and Franco as guys sent to North Korea to assassinate Kim Jong Un and according to Boies it will be seen by the masses. He also said the hack "is not a Sony security problem. This is a national security problem. And the government has got to lead."
