In a recent interview, Slayer's former drummer, Dave Lombardo dished about working on the sound score for Insidious 3.

Insidious 3 To Be "Special," Like A "Specter Of The Further"?

Speaking to BlabberMouth, Lombardo stated that he had a really good time working on the music for the film. The drummer collaborated with Joseph Bishara on the score for the third chapter of the movie. Lombardo revealed that Joseph reached out to him to do drum parts for the movie, and also moved the recording session early so as to accomodate Lombardo's schedule which involved a promotional tour of Europe and participating in drum clinics.

While speaking about the music, Lombardo added that it would be very different from his work with Slayer.

Fans "Will Love The Continuation" Of The Horror Franchise

"We had a really, really good time creating the drums and recording them for the movie. So now Insidious is gonna have Dave Lombardo drums on it. [There will be] no double bass, no double bass -- [it's] just very ambient...I can make my drums sound like they're played by somebody that's happy, but then I can play me drums to make 'em sound like somebody's sad or scary. It depends on how you hit it what you create."

The official trailer for Insidious: Chapter 3 released on October 22 and is tagged as "the darkest chapter" which goes back to "the beginning."

Dermot Mulroney is seen playing Sue's (Stefanie Scott) father, and the clip starts with her being wheeled in by her dad as she has a fracture. They settle into their new apartment appreciating the neighbors but all's not well, in this seemingly normal space. As Sue resigns for the night in her bedroom the eerie business begins as somebody knocks from the other side of the wall, which is followed by something freaking her out in the room.

The trailer lets know that this one precedes the first two chapters and will take fans to the origins of "the further."

Lin Shaye who plays Elise and Specs and Tucker are also seen in the clip.
