"I don't think there's any kind of tree that's not a pain in the rear to get in and get out and decorate and whatever," declared the Something In The Water singer in a recent interview with  ABC News Radio. "But they're pretty."

The singer prefers having a fake Christmas tree instead of a real one, but when it comes to decorating the house she likes to get into the holiday spirit.

"[I have] big candle pieces and things like that," she noted. "Little ceramic Santa things. Pillows. I have lots of pillows that say stuff on 'em. Reindeer-type things. Big, wooden reindeer."

Underwood also enjoys getting into the spirit of gift-giving with her husband, Mike Fisher, and their two little dogs, Ace and Penny.

"They need stockings, too," she explained. "It's their Christmas, too."

The star will have one more stocking to pick up this time next year as her and Fisher are expecting their first child together this spring. Underwood announced the pregnancy back in September and while she and her husband have remained busy all fall she maintains that Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, won't be permitted to stay out on the road around her due date.

Underwood's latest album, Greatest Hits: Decade # 1, was released on December 9.
