Tim McGraw Ends 2014 Topping The Charts

"We've had great memories with the kids for Christmas," noted the singer in an interview with 107.9 The Bull on Wednesday. Married to fellow country artist Faith Hill for 18 years, McGraw has three daughters and likes to get back to them for the holidays.

"[There's] the comin' out at Christmas morning when Santa Claus has come," reflected the Meanwhile Back At Mama's singer. "And gettin' up at four in the morning and doin' all those things, which is very special."

Discussing the holiday season apparently took the country artist way back and he was reminded of what Christmas had been like for him as a child. It was always a memorable experience, especially that first one which made him feel like a real adult.

"I remember bein', I don't know probably 11 years old or so, and my mom askin' me to put together a doll house for my sisters," recalled McGraw. "And that was the first time I actually got to participate and, like, be the man of the house with my mom and put together all the Christmas stuff for my sisters."

"That was sort of a graduating-to-a-young-man, I think, in my eyes, thing for me," noted the star.

Putting together gifts for his sisters likely prepared the singer for life with three daughters. McGraw spends most of his time at home attending football games and getting his children to partake in family time.
