Supernatural's Castiel won't be able to solve his grace problem anytime soon.

The angel lost his mojo at the end of season 8, but the second half of season 10 won't immediately focus on Castiel's (Misha Collins) search for his true essence.

Currently powered by stolen grace, Cas will eventually die if Team Free Will can't locate the remains of his original angel juice. Collins' character was facing down the barrel of mortality when season 10 opened, but Crowley (Mark Sheppard) did what Cas refused to and snagged the Winchesters' ally a recharge from a dying member of heaven's host.

"This gives him a stay of execution, so he's got disposable batteries," Collins informed The Hollywood Reporter. "He's got a new set; they're Duracells; they should last for a little while [but] not forever. So it will be an issue that resurfaces again, [but] it takes awhile."

If/when Cas does resume that quest, the rebel angel will be loath to secure his survival through any variety of illicit bargains.

"[Cas is] sick and tired of making deals with the devil and will [try] not [to] make that compromise again," Collins said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Does this mean that Cas will continue to refuse Metatron's (Curtis Armstrong) help? The baddie will certainly want something in exchange for his intel, and Castiel is unwilling to give the power-mad scribe an inch.
