Underwood, 31, announced her first pregnancy back in September, and yet the singer is evidently still working harder than ever. On Dec. 5, she released album no. 5, Greatest Hits: Decade #1 and noted shortly after that she is already working on new material.

If Underwood could keep up her current pace, it's possible the star will be looking at a 2015 release date for the new album, which would capitalize on her 2014 momentum.

"I've been working on a new new album and a full album of tracks this past year so I will continue to write," Underwood told the Daily Mail earlier this month. "And then I'll probably take a little time to figure out my new life with baby."

There is typically a two-year break in between the Something In The Water singer's albums. Her debut record Some Hearts came out in November of 2005. She then released album no. 2, Carnival Ride, in 2007 and Play On in 2009. Then it was three whole years before Blown Away came out in May 2012.

In addition to preparing for the arrival of her baby boy and working on her albums, Underwood also went out on tour, co-hosted the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley, performed on HBO's Concert for Valor, and scored multiple gigs at the Grand Ole Opry, one of the singer's favorite venues.

Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, are expecting the birth of their baby boy in the spring. They have chosen to keep the exact due date on the hush hush for the time. being.
