Wayne Mills died last year on Nov. 23 since the owner of Nashville's Pit and Barrel bar shot him in the head allegedly in self-defense as reported by Nashville Scene last year a few days after the incident.

The fund is to help Mills' son and wife, Jack and Carol, live. The funds collected will allow for medical coverage, a college fund for his son's future and more necessities.

Also on Sunday, Boyd tweeted, "Please say a prayer," while including the praying hands emoji and a link to an article about country music legend Little Jimmy Dickens being hospitalized.

The Tennessean reported on Sunday that the Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame icon is in critical care for an unnamed illness after being admitted to a Nashville area hospital on Christmas.
