There is a reason Carrie Underwood is one of the most beloved country stars both on and off the stage.

On Tuesday The National League Of Junior Cotillions listed the 25 best-mannered people of the past 25 years and at no. 13 Carrie Underwood scored as the highest-ranking country star.

The Something In The Water singer beat out fellow country star Taylor Swift, who came in at no. 25, and even Pope Francis who landed at no. 18. NBC's Jimmy Fallon topped the list at no. 1 followed by David Muir and Peyton Manning.

Underwood was selected for a "consistent" show of "courtesy" towards her fans across the world.

"The selections are made based on each person's commitment to honor, dignity, and mannerly conduct," noted NLJC president Charles Winters. "We fell the twenty-five individuals named have distinguished themselves through excellence of character and conduct and applaud them for their contributions to society."

While the yearly list typically consists of 10 people, the NLJC decided to open it up to 25 for 2014 in honor of the NLJC's 25th year.

Perhaps Underwood's kindness and compassion will be passed onto to her children. In September the star announced that she and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, are expecting their first child together. Underwood will give birth to their baby boy this spring.

Carrie Underwood's latest album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1, was released on Dec. 9.
