The actress, who played fan favorite Melanie on the hit show, confirmed that she will not be on the show's final episodes.

She shared a snapshot of herself and Hall (who portrayed Derwin) and wrote, "The [love] I am receiving from fans of Melanie on The Game is so amazing and touching! I couldn't just ignore. I had amazing 5 yrs on the show and feel so blessed to have been a part of it :)

"Many are asking if I am making a return for the last year, and the answer is no. But again, I felt so blessed, so blessed, to have played Melanie Barnett! #melanieandderwinforever".

Fans took to the picture to express their sadness that she would not be coming back.

"U and derwin made the show".

"I stopped watching after you left. You made the show! I only watched to see Melanie!"

"I still watch it because the show is great, but you definitely started the greatness! You and us back sprung on you like the 'Sister Sister' days!!! #WeStillLoveYou".

Mowry and Hall both left the show at the end of the fifth season after they could not come to an agreement with contract negotiations. Hall did make one last appearance in the season 6 opener.

Since then, actors Lauren London and Jay Ellis have joined as the third couple of the show.

The Game returns to BET Jan. 14 at 10/9c.
