Jamie Lynn Spears was reportedly involved in a dangerous altercation last weekend.

According to a new report, Spears used a "long serrated bread knife" to rescue a friend, who had been hit with a bottle at the Pita Pit in Hammond, La.

"Jamie's friend got clocked with a bottle. That's when Jamie went all "Saving Private Ryan" ... dragging her friend to safety," TMZ reported on Wednesday. "Jamie pulled her behind the sandwich counter -- then grabbed a long serrated bread knife and started waving it around to stop the fight."

Following roles on All That and Zoey 101, Spears gave birth to daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge and stepped out of the spotlight. Although Spears and her daughter's father, Casey Aldridge, became engaged and planned to marry, they called their engagement off a year after Maddie's birth. Years later, Spears became engaged to her now-husband, James Watson, whom she married in March 2014.

There was no mention of Watson in TMZ's report.

The site claimed Spears, after posing a sweet photo with a friend, arrived to the sandwich shop for a late night snack. Once on site, Spears' unnamed friend was attacked. Police were called to the Pita Pit, but no arrests were made.

Spears' latest journey back into the spotlight came in 2013, when she released her latest single, How Could I Want More. Check out the song in the video below.
