Carrie Underwood didn't let her growing baby bump stop her from giving one of the first performances of the new year on Thursday.

The 31-year-old country star performed on NBC's The Today Show on Thursday, Jan. 1, in honor of the new year.

Over five months pregnant, the Something In The Water singer looked great in a fitted, long-sleeved burgundy dress which accented her baby bump and black stiletto boots as she performed inside near a twinkling Christmas tree.

Later that day the star posted a statement on Twitter wishing fans and friends an "amazing year" with "lots of love." Considered one of the sweetest stars in the industry, Underwood wants nothing but the best for her family, friends and fans.  

Underwood and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, announced back in September that they are expecting their first child together. Underwood will give birth to their baby boy this spring, though the happy parents are keeping the exact due date a secret for the time being.

Underwood's latest album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1, was released on Dec. 9. She is currently hard at work on new material, which could be released by the end of 2015.
