It looks as though Kendall Jenner and her friends did not do their homework prior to their trip to Dubai this past week. The reality television star, along with a host of celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Cody Simpson, Selena Gomez, Shay Mitchell and more, were reportedly acting "inappropriate" while visiting a Mosque during their New Years trip.

According to TMZ on Friday, the group of friends were criticized for posting photos in front of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and their "disrespectful" poses.

The site says that there have been a flood of complaints from photos that show the friends laughing and smiling in front of the mosque along with Selena Gomez showing off her ankle in a sexy pose. Many are saying that the celebrity tourists failed the show respect while visiting the religious site.

In a pic that Jenner posted to her Instagram account on Monday morning, Jenner along with her closest friends can be seen goofing around in front of a mosque. Many of her followers criticized her almost immediately, writing, "Really this is something we shouldn't be proud of it! There are regulations and ristrictions of being inside a mosque! first of all Christians can not enter the mousque or be inside the campus, all the respect of other relgions but this is our holly places and we call it the place of God so there r some restrictions of being inside a mousque!"

Another follower wrote, "Even a 2-year-old would understand taking a picture in front of a prayer building is disrespectful."

Jenner herself has so far not made any comments about the controversy.
