The newest season of The Amazing Race may be the most surprising yet with its all-couples and blind dates twist-and it appears that several celebrity couples may be attempting to put their relationships to the test this time around.

The show has had teams with some fame or notoriety in the past before, but season 26 could be the one with the largest number of them-as at least two semi-famous teams may be racing during the installment.

It was previously revealed that New Kids on the Block singer Jonathon Knight and his boyfriend, actor Harley Rodriguez, were set to race in the new season-but they could face stiff competition from another team which happens to be made up of professional athletes-dating Olympians Steven Langton and Alyson Dudek.

Teams who participate on the show are required to take breaks from their social media accounts while filming their seasons-and both Langton and Dude, as well as Knight and Rodriguez, were absent from their Twitter and Instagram pages for more than a month between November and December-the usual time period when the show films its spring season.

In addition to their absences, all made mention of either potentially going "off the grid" for a while, or joked about their long-term absences.

"Just a few more days till Harley and I take our annual vacation. This year we chose to go off the grid and only connect with ourselves," Knight posted on Twitter Nov. 5.

"Putting in 17 hours on the road today. Let's do this," Langton wrote Nov. 3.

"Ooh, Twitter, it has been a while. Nothing to say, but I did purchase TSwift's 1989 today. All is good with the world," Dudek posted Dec. 9.

And while the social media absences could be teasing their involvements with the show, both couples appear to have potentially passed the test that show host Phil Keoghan teased in the new season preview-as both couples still appear to be happily dating.

Dudek shared a photo of herself and Langton on what appeared to be a fishing trip together on New Year's Eve on Instagram, while Rodriguez also shared images recently of himself and Knight, including one of the pair visiting the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in New York in mid-December.

The Amazing Race season 26 premieres Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 9:30 p.m., before switching to its normal time with another new episode of Friday, Feb. 27 at 8:00 p.m.
