Revenge may have more life left in it than fans originally thought.

Will Emily Die On 'Revenge'? EP Teases Thorne's Series Ending Fate

Now in it's fourth season, the ABC primetime soap could last through at least the end of season 5. While many viewers thought the Hamptons drama would conclude following Emily Thorne's (Emily VanCamp) apparent victory in the season 3 finale, the return of David Clarke (James Tupper) should give Revenge enough new plot to propel it through two more seasons.

The news comes as Revenge enters the latter half of season 4.

"I think it can go many more seasons," actor Nick Wechsler (Jack) said, according to The Mirror. "I think you can get two more solid seasons out of it - season four and five - and then something would have to shift dramatically after that in order for me to believe that we could get another few solid seasons out of it. With David coming back and everything, I think you've got a solid two [seasons]."

Currently on Revenge, a new villain has entered the ritzy Long Island town. After hanging over David's life like a specter, Malcolm Black (Tommy Flanagan) made his first official appearance during "Epitaph." Unfortunately, the baddie's face time comes at the cost of Kate Taylor (Courtney Ford) and Daniel Grayson's (Josh Bowman) lives.
