In the new song, off of her upcoming album "Red," Swift bashes an ex-boyfriend, stating that, regardless of all the rumors circulating, they will never get back together.
Lyrics from the new song include, "I say, I hate you, we break up, you call me, I love you/ Oh we called it off again last night/ but oh this time I'm telling you...we are never ever ever ever getting back together...like ever."
Swift admitted in an interview that inspiration for the song came from her hearing that an ex-boyfriend of hers had been telling people that they would get back together. However, with 'Never Ever," Swift put the rumors to rest.
Swift has not stated in specific which ex-boyfriend the song refers to but the list of her past lovers include Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas.
