Bruno Heller, the show runner of Fox's Gotham, has revealed a number of teasers for the second half of the season, including Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) evolving and Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) doing something shocking.

Monday night featured the winter "premiere" of Gotham with Gordon (Ben McKenzie) now working in Arkham Asylum, Selina Kyle helping out Ivy (Clare Foley) and the mob wars continuing to wage on. With the plot progressing, Heller recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about what to expect from the second half of the season for most of the main characters.

"You're going to see Nygma take a giant step forward into becoming the man he becomes," Heller revealed. "You're going to see Fish Mooney [Jada Pinkett Smith] placed in a situation where it's almost unimaginable how she'll get out of it. Her relationship with Butch [Drew Powell] and Penguin [Robin Lord Taylor] are going to be pushed to the limit."

He added that both Selina Kyle and Fish would be doing "something incredibly shocking," though they seem to be separate shocking things.

He observed that the second half of the season is really about bringing everything that's been set up in the first half of the season "to fruition," adding that "Some people come to an end, other people are triumphant."

Heller "guaranteed" that viewers who like the first half of Gotham's first season will "love" the latter half of the season.

It remains to be seen if viewers will continue to stick with the show but the ratings Monday night were consistent with the first half of the season, which is a very good sign.

Gotham airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
