A judge awarded Usher Raymond primary custody of him and his ex-wife Tameka Foster Raymond's two sons.

The judge sided with Usher - awarding him sole custody of the former couple's young children, which means the kids will be spending the majority of the time with their father, TMZ reported on Aug. 24.

Both parties tried to strip one another of custody. Tameka said the singer was an absentee father who was mainly focused on his career and not concerned about being a good father. She also accused him of using drugs in front of his children. During questioning, Tameka's lawyer showed photos of Usher partying in Europe in February.

Usher broke down in tears today in the Atlanta courtroom after his ex-wife's attorney insinuated he cared more about partying than he does about his children.

Usher accused Tameka of being inattentive and irresponsible. One day during the trial, he testified that his ex-wife went into a jealous rage during which she hit him, threw food, and spit on his girlfriend.

Tameka admitted to threatening him and his girlfriend. Although Usher accused her of saying she would "kill him" she admitted, "I did probably, out of anger, say 'I will f**k you up' and it's not acceptable," according to TMZ.

She claimed to make the statement as a result of Usher going in and out of town with his new girlfriend, which she claimed was "embarrassing" for her in such a tight knit community, reported TMZ.

Tameka still retains some custodial rights, but the extent to which Tameka will be able to see her kids is unclear.
