"Hot Chick" star Anna Faris has welcomed a baby on Saturday, August 25.

Faris, 35 had a son Jack with her husband Chris Pratt.

"He arrived earlier than expected and will be spending some time in the NICU. The happy parents thank you for your warm wishes and ask that you honor their privacy during this time," said Faris' publicist in a statement to Gossip Cop.

The couple married in 2009, after meeting on the set of the movie "Take Me Home Tonight" in 2007.

Their child Jack, is the first for the couple.

The pair announced her pregnancy in May. A representative confirmed the news with E! News. The couple have expressed to various media that they wanted to have children, despite their busy schedules.

Faris told E! News last year that she would love to have eight kids, before adding, ""I don't think I could handle it, though!" She said she did not know when but that the couple wanted to "populate".  Faris told People, "Chris wants a big family."

This is the second marriage for Faris. She wed the first time in 2004 and divorced her first husband, Ben Idra in 2007.

Pratt is known for his appearance on "Everwood" and "OC" and his current role on "Parks and Recreation." He played a baseball player alongside Brad Pitt in "Moneyball." He will appear in "Ten Year" with Channing Tatum which will arrive in theaters in September.

Faris is known for playing the lead in the lead in the "Scream" film series, "Hot Chick" and in this year's "The Dictator" with Sacha Baron Cohen. She has also appeared in "Brokeback Mountain" and "Lost In Translation".
