Blake Shelton got some great support on Tuesday from his friend, Carson Daly.

Find Out If Miranda Lambert Will Join Blake Shelton For SNL This Month

Shelton has known Daly for years from his gig as a coach on NBC's The Voice and this week the competition host congratulated the Neon Light singer on Twitter Tuesday after finding out that Shelton will be hosting an episode of NBC's Saturday Night Live.

Blake Shelton's Boozy Reputation Could Be Fading 

On Tuesday, it was announced that Shelton will host SNL on Jan. 24. It will be the singer's first time hosting the show, though previous country stars to score the gig include Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift.

Shelton had a great year in 2014. He topped the charts with his latest album, Bringing Back the Sunshine, and scored his fifth consecutive CMA Award for Male Vocalist last November.

Unfortunately for the singer, his wife and fellow country artist, Miranda Lambert, won't be in town on Jan. 24 to see his SNL performance in person. She has a show in Charleston, W. Va. that night, though maybe Daly will show up to lend Shelton his support.

Shelton recently celebrated a quiet Christmas at home with his wife. Both will resume touring later this month.
