Some Fifty Shades of Grey fans are going to be extremely disappointed after reading what some would call devastating news.
If fans are under 17 and planning on watching the film when it hits big screens, think again.
The MPAA has officially rated the new sexy film, R, so fans under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult.
According to Entertainment Tonight, given the graphic source material, there was much controversy among both fans and critics to find out how sexy the film would actually be.
Author E.L. James' first novel in the sexy trilogy featured some very racy love scenes and while the film version of the novel probably won't be as kinky, fans can still expect to see a lot of hot and steamy sex scenes.
Back in November, heartthrob Jamie Dornan announced he would not be showing off all of his assets on the big screens and fans were extremely disappointed.
Dornan told the Guardian, "You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out. "You don't want to make something gratuitous, and ugly, and graphic. There were contracts in place that said that viewers wouldn't be seeing my ...todger."
Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters on Friday Feb. 13. Fans can watch the films official sneak peek in the video below.
