Chmerkovskiy is currently touring with the Dancing With the Stars Live! Tour, alongside many of his fellow pros from the show. The dancer recently took the time to express his gratitude for being able to succeed in a career that he loves.

"It's an honor to champion the brand and meet our audience, who gave me the platform to be on TV doing what I love," Chmerkovskiy told MassLive on Thursday. "This is my way to give back."

The Ukranian-born dancer admitted that the concept of Dancing With the Stars is silly, but the work put into it certainly isn't.

"Dancing With the Stars - as silly as a concept as it is - is a phenomena," Chmerkovskiy said. "The joy, the hard work, the bond - these people walk away with an experience they cannot replicate anywhere else."

The dancer came in third place with celebrity partner Janel Parrish in season 19, but he is probably hoping to get his first Mirrorball Trophy for season 20 in the spring. The MassLive report claims that he will indeed be back for season 20, with prep work beginning on Feb. 17.

"I have a spot on the No. 1 show in the world doing what I love," Chmerkovskiy noted. "When I think of the investment and sacrifice my parents made, having this is the greatest gift."

Dancing With the Stars returns for season 20 on Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
