It is not easy being the future king of England.

Golden Globes winner Eddie Redmayne opened up last week about his personal life, acting, and attending school with one of the most famous men in his home country.

Kate Middleton Might Be Planning A Winter Getaway 

"We were on the same rugby team at Eton College," explained the actor to E! on Jan. 9 as he revealed that he'd hone to school with none other than Prince William.

While Redmayne didn't seem to know Prince William very well, he does recall their days playing together on the field.

"I always felt slightly sorry for him because everyone wanted to tackle the future king of England," noted Redmayne. "He took all the hits."

Years later, both Redmanyne and Prince William have certainly gone places. The 33-year-old actor won the Golden Globe on Sunday for Best Actor in The Theory of Everything and William is being groomed to one day take the throne. Married to Kate Middleton, the prince has a one-year-old son, Prince George, and another child on the way.

This week William resumed his studies, while Kate is scheduled to make a number of public appearances. On Jan. 15 she will be in London naming The Core Art Room at Barlby Primary School, then on Jan. 16 she has a charity event planned.

The princess will be visiting Kensington on Jan. 19 rushing off to the opening of a new school.

Princess Kate is expected to give birth to their second child in April.
