Geri Halliwell, also known as Ginger Spice of the 90's UK pop group, Spice Girls, is rumored to be dating comedian and actor, Russel Brand. While Geri Halliwell, 40, nor Brand, 37, have yet to confirm or deny the rumors, sources reveal that the British celebrities have been heating up since July.

"Russell is mad for her. They text and talk to each other loads," an unnamed source revealed, according to Heat Celebrity News. 

AZ Central reported that Brand, Katy Perry's former husband, was dating Isabella Brewster. However, he ended his relationship with her after "falling for Geri while the pair were rehearsing for the London Olympics Closing Ceremony earlier this month," the publication added. 

Ginger Spice and Brand reported met during the summer Olympics where the Spice Girls performed. Brand was cited saying: "I've got Spice Girls mania all over again now. I'm obsessed with them. It's like 1996 all over again. I've got a massive crush on Geri Halliwell too... The girls were absolutely lovely. I love Geri," he said to The Mirror.

The Sun reports that Halliwell and Brand have been out on multiple dates together, including a trip this past Sunday to Hampton Court with Halliwell's daughter, Bluebell.

"They seemed like they were having a really great time, holding hands and chatting - it was 100 per cent obvious they were a couple," once source said, according to The Sun.

"Things are getting very serious between them - they're a proper couple now," another source claimed. "They had met several times in the past, but really got to know each other during the Olympics.

"People thought Russell was joking at the time, when he said he had a crush on Geri all over again, but it was true."

While it definitely sounds as if the British celebrities are an item, E! Online News cited a unnamed source that claims Geri Halliwell and Russel Brand are "just friends and have been out a few times."  

Brand's reps have yet to make a comment regarding the rumored romance. However, Halliwell's reps have responded but have not confirmed a romantic relationship.

"They're just friends and have been out a few times, there's not much else to add at this stage," they said to Daily Mail.
