The Republican National Convention 2012 kicked-off on Tuesday in Tampa after a one day delay. While Mitt Romney earned a historic nomination for the republican party, it was his wife, Ann Romney who captured hearts and stole the spotlight with an endearing speech to working women and families.

"I love you women! And I hear your voices," Ann Romney said at the Republican National Convention 2012. Her speech lasted 21-minutes and was filled with nervous laughter. "You are the best of America."

Ann Romney's speech was designed to reach out to "counter negative voter perceptions" of the former Massachusetts's governor, LA Times reported. Her personal reflections and down-to-earth attitude would raise Mitt's personal favorability ratings, which have been the lowest for any presidential candidate in the last 25 years.

"Let me say this to every American who is thinking about who should be our next president: No one will work harder. No one will care more. And no one will move heaven and earth like Mitt Romney to make this country a better place to live!" at this, the crowd leaped to their feet and gave the biggest applause of the night at the Republican National Convention 2012.

Romney also reached out to middle class voters who may feel as if Mitt Romney is a wealthy, privileged, business man who cannot relate to the struggles of the average person. In her speech, she sought to denounce the fairytale or "storybook marriage" image the GOP candidate and herself appear to have by referring to some of her personal health challenges.

"Those storybooks never seemed to have chapters called MS [multiple sclerosis] or breast cancer," she said. "A storybook marriage? Nope, not at all. What Mitt Romney and I have is a real marriage."

"As his partner on this amazing journey, I can tell you Mitt Romney was not handed success. He built it," she said as the crown began to applaud. "He built it!"

"This man will not fail. This man will not let us down," she also said. "You can trust Mitt. He loves America."

The speech seemed so emotionally charged that even former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was caught by the cameras almost on the verge of tears. Many other women in the audience were crying or clapping with enthusiasm after the speech.

After the speech, Mitt Romney appeared and gave Ann two kisses and said: "You were fabulous."
