There is no denying that the gloves are off! Even though Amal Clooney has gotten a lot of positive reviews for her first Hollywood red carpet debut with her husband George Clooney, comedienne Kathy Griffin slammed the human rights lawyer during a post-Golden Globes segment of E!'s Fashion Police on Monday evening.

According to Us Weekly on Tuesday, Griffin didn't hold back when it came to critiquing Amal's hair, dress and white gloves.

Griffin roasted her by saying, "Yeah, she's annoying. You heard me! Everybody run in fear! I thought it was weird she had those gloves that remind me of, like, a p-rn scene, where the guy goes home and there's the naughty dishwasher and she only has the gloves."

She added, "Like, she used those bovine insemination gloves to rake through her hair instead of a brush. I'm fascinated how we're like, not supposed to make fun of her because she married the great George Clooney. Look, everybody's on the table, George! Nobody's safe, nobody gets a pass."

Not many fans seemed to agree with Griffin's observation, as they even defended Amal and added that she not only looked beautiful in the red carpet, but that she's a step above many actors and actresses in Hollywood as well.

One commenter wrote, "She went to support her husband. I might get some heat for saying this but, She's way too good to even be there. She actually does something important," while another wrote, "I didn't get the impression that Amal didn't want to be there. She seemed a bit awkward and uncomfortable, but lovely still."

Amal has been the subject of plenty of gossip fodder since she married her actor husband in a lavish wedding ceremony back in September. So far, she has not made any comments about Griffin's remarks.
