Judge Sherry Stephens Postpones Release Of Jodi Arias' Closed-Courtroom Testimony

Back in October Judge Sherry Stephens ruled to keep the press and public out of the courtroom during the first witness' testimony, which was later overturned by the Court of Appeals as reported by AZ Central in November.

Judge Stephens claimed at the time that the secret witness, who turned out to be Arias, was threatened and would not testify unless the courtroom was closed.

Jodi Arias' Defense Team Appeals Decision To Make Private Testimony From October Public

Last Monday, USA Today reported that Arias' defense team petitioned the Arizona Supreme Court to reverse the Court of Appeals' decision to release the private testimony transcripts.

Friday it was reported by CBS News via Associated Press that Arias' defense team's request was denied to pause the retrial while waiting on the decision about whether to keep the transcripts sealed or not.

CBS 5 AZ - KPHO reported Tuesday that the transcripts of Arias' private testimony would release at some point today.

The transcripts were not released sooner since the notes from the court reporters that were turned over to the Clerk of the Court needed to be recorded and put into the proper form for release.

CBS 5 further reported there would not be any testimony today in court and Arias may take the stand once more in the near future.
