As the trailer for season 3 of House of Cards was recently unveiled, a few hints about what direction the Netflix series might take, and it also seems like Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) is going to have to reckon with his maker.

Latest Updates About The Plot Of Season 3 Of House of Cards

In the clip, Frank is seen dealing with the premier of another country, which seems most likely to be Russia. This new alliance seems to cost him heavily and sucks him into a dark vortex, at the end of which Frank is seen haggard and flagging, and this new individual seems to be overpowering him. It is made obvious that Frank has joined hands with the dark side, and the trailer is replete with deviousness. At one point, the man in question is seen unabashadly kissing Claire at a party right in front of Frank. Toward the end of the preview, there are glimpses of a broken down, resigned Frank and Claire is seen telling him that they are murderers. But seems like Frank will still sustain that good old cold blooded, ruthless spirit, as he is seen correcting her by letting her no that they are not murderers but survivors.

In other news, Spacey finally won a Golden Globe award for best actor in a television drama series for his portrayal of Frank Underwood on House of Cards. The ceremony took place on the evening of January 11.

Previously, the actor had jokingly suggested that he might not attend the awards ceremony this time around to better his chances at a win.

Spacey tweeted about his nomination for the Netflix series, joking about how he hadn't won awards over the last eight times he was nominated because he attended the ceremony and maybe not going this time would make a difference this time around.

"I jinxed the last 7 #GoldenGlobes noms by showing up, should I sit 8 out in hopes that works? To better odds! #HouseofCards @RealRobinWright," he tweeted on December 11.

The third season will premiere on February 27, 2015.
