If you shower every day then you’re definitely white. Well, at least according to Naya Rivera.
The 28-year-old Glee star expressed her amusing belief when she appeared as a guest host on The View Tuesday.
"I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnic," Rivera said. "I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing."
Rivera supported her words saying that her white husband Ryan Dorsey showers two, sometimes even three, times a day.
"So the study says, a dermatologist says you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days, so I'm right on the mark," the actress added.
After receiving some backlash for her comments, Rivera apologized when she reappeared on the show Wednesday.
"Yesterday we were talking about a study that says you're supposed to shower once or twice every three days," she said. "I had an opinion on it that was supposed to be a joke. Apparently it didn't go over so well."
"It was supposed to be a joke but I apologize if anyone was offended," she added. "However, I'm very excited that it sparked a big conversation about how many times you should shower."
