Adam Levine and his Maroon 5 bandmates surprised real brides and grooms when they crashed their Los Angeles weddings in December. Their reactions are documented in the band’s new video for “Sugar.”

"It was an out of body experience," Levine said in a statement. "I had no idea I would be affected by the overwhelming reactions we received from the couples and guests. Being able to create an unforgettable experience for several people was the highlight of it all."

The video follows that gang as they show up to random weddings and receive a lot of love from the brides, grooms and their guests. David Dobkin, who directed 2005’s Wedding Crashers starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, appropriately worked on the music video.

"It was one of the great experiences of my career making the ‘Sugar' video with Adam and the boys," the director said. "Literally lightning in a bottle."

The upbeat song is the third single from Maroon 5’s fifth album, V, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard when it was released in late August.
