On Thursday Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, started his own Instagram account. Soon after hearing the news, his wife publicly insisted on Twitter that he start sharing photos.

Why Pregnant Carrie Underwood Might Have To Back Out Of Summer Festival

Underwood is a big fan of Instagram, with over 150 photos posted and over 1.4 million followers. Perhaps she was the one to push her husband on to the social media site, though it's possible the NHL player just wanted to create a legitimate account in order to fight off the fake ones.

The couple announced back on Sept. 1 that they are expecting their first child together. Underwood is expected to give birth to their baby boy this spring and insists her husband won't be on the road when it happens. She wants Fisher by her side, not out on the ice, when the big day comes.

Underwood and Fisher kept things incredibly public when they allowed for the sex of their child to be announced during the CMA Awards on November, but as for the due date the couple has elected to keep it under wraps for the time being.
