Jennifer Lopez is well aware that doing on-screen sex scenes for her films is a part of her job, no matter how awkward they can sometimes be. The sultry Latina recently revealed that she felt a bit embarrassed while pretending to do the dirty while in bed with co-star Ryan Guzman in her latest film, The Boy Next Door.

In a new interview with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday (via the Daily Mail), Lopez said that there was definitely some hesitation going on before her and Guzman filmed their scenes together.

She said, "I wouldn't say they're fun. They're awkward and a little bit uncomfortable, but you try to get into it to make it look real... get the scenes over with, I get mine at home, I'm good. I'm not here for that. No, but seriously, I like to keep it professional."

What's more, Lopez says that she also felt a connection to her character when she first read the script.

The 45-year-old actress said, "When I read the script, I liked the character because I felt it was very relatable. She's a woman in a long marriage, her husband just cheated on her, and she's kind of at the lowest point in her life."

Lopez added, "She's at that moment and then this guy comes along - the boy next door shows up - and stars making her feel like she is worth something again. And then of course, she makes a mistake and crosses the line and it changes their lives forever. But I really did love how she's strong, but she's vulnerable at the same time."

Lopez has been single since breaking up with her boyfriend of three years, back-up dancer Casper Smart, back in June. The singer and actress has been keeping a rather low profile as far as her personal life is concerned for the past several months.

Previously, Lopez was also married to singer Marc Anthony before calling it quits back in 2011.
