Ellen Degeneres brings out the best in celebrities. Even the dearest Diva of them all, Mariah Carey, plays along with her hilarious antics and this time around, she surprised a few fans in a hotel, dressed up as cleaning staff to announce her new residency in Las Vegas. Though some of them might have had heart problems after reacting and quite literally falling at Mariah's presence, she made up for their troubles by giving them all free tickets. Mariah Carey looks great, dahling. For someone who is going through a public divorce, she seemed to be in high spirits when she spoke with Ellen about her upcoming shows in May and July. She shared, "I'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars [Palace]. This is a special event for me and I hope that the fans will enjoy this!"

The new divorcee will perform the updated version of her 18 hits from the "Number 1's" album. While she's excited to join the ranks of the legendary artists who have taken on the task of executing a Las Vegas residency, she admits that she's a bit nervous to perform. "With some of these songs, I'm like 'Really? I'm going to do that one again?" she joked with Ellen.

Reportedly, Nick Cannon's New Album Will Be About Mariah

Earlier today (Jan. 16), TMZ reported that Nick Cannon officially filed for divorce from his wife of six years on Dec. 12. Hopefully, her two months on stage and the time it takes to prepare will take her focus off of all of her relationship drama.

For now, she has her fans to keep her excited-Almost as excited as they were when she surprised them.
