Monday night's episode of The Celebrity Apprentice was a touching one in which the contestants reflected on their time spent with comedienne Joan Rivers before she shockingly passed away this past summer. Reality television star Kate Gosselin said the television icon was a figure to admire as she had nothing but kind words about her on the show.

Kate Gosselin Isn't Listening To Her Haters Anymore

According to Access Hollywood on Tuesday, Gosselin said, "It was grandmotherly Joan that I don't know if I we really got a chance to see otherwise. I never met Joan prior and she was just this teeny tiny little amazing powerhouse of a woman. And I just remember meeting her thinking, 'My gosh, when I'm 80 whatever, I [want to be] Joan,' because she was smart as a tack, quick as a wit and really inspiring."

After Rivers' death, producers of the hit NBC show decided to keep her cameo in the final edit, with Donald Trump defending his decision by saying, "She did so well. If she didn't do as well I wouldn't have left her in, but she was so good, so she'll be looking down and saying thank you."

Kate Gosselin Admits That She Sometimes Cries Behind Closed Doors

Meanwhile, Gosselin has recently opened up about her personal life for the first time in years.

According to Us Weekly on Sunday, the 39-year-old blonde dished on why it's been so hard for her to find a boyfriend while trying to raise her eight children at home.

She said, "I would love to date, but I don't have time to date. I don't know that I really have time to think about what I want in a man. Our obvious issue is we're a family people have heard of. It's that publicity piece. There's eight kids and it's really loud and stressful in my house. I mean, anybody that can kind of work through all that, you know, that's a lot of gates there they gotta get through."
