'American Horror Story' Season 4 Cast: Finn Wittrock Talks 'Life-Changer' Of Experience & If He's Returning For Season 5 [VIDEO]
FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show is coming to an end this week and new star Finn Wittrock is appreciating the entire experience.
Wittrock, who has memorably played petulant man-child Dandy Mott in Freak Show, recently spoke with NOLA.com about having the American Horror Story experience along with whether or not he'll be returning for season 5 in the fall.
"It's like you're kind of in the thick of it until it's over," Wittrock said. "It's definitely been a life-changer for me, I think, just in terms of how popular it's been. Also because it's been a character that I've gotten to really stretch for. I don't know who else (but Ryan Murphy) would've given me the chance to stretch like this. So, yeah, I'm very thankful for it. It's a crazy, chaotic whirlwind while you're in it. It's been a very special time."
Dandy is now in charge of the freak show after Elsa (Jessica Lange) granted him ownership in the latest episode of American Horror Story. One can only imagine what's ahead with Dandy now owning the freaks he's been obsessed with throughout the season.
Regardless of what happens, it seems likely that Wittrock will be asked back to play a role in season 5. He has become an unquestionably popular member of the cast, particularly with the teen girl fanbase. However, he admitted that he has not even discussed returning yet.
"There has honestly been no conversation about it. I've just been trying to make it through this," he admitted. "If I do something else, the great thing about the show is I can do something completely and utterly different, which is what I want to do if I did it again. There's a bunch of rumors about what it's going to be, and then that rumor's dispelled. Whatever that idea was, that's not the idea any more. We won't really know until whenever."
American Horror Story: Freak Show concludes on Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
