Despite being a relatively polarizing figure for the audience, new Dancing With the Stars judge Julianne Hough will be back in season 20.

Does Rev. Al Sharpton Have Plans To Compete On 'Dancing With the Stars'?

Hough did not automatically become a universally beloved judge when she stepped into the fourth judges seat in season 19. Three weeks into the competition, many fans were not happy with her judging style, with one fan saying on the DWTS Facebook page: "I vote that DWTS goes back to three judges and Julianne Hough goes back to dancing." It was one of the most 'liked' comments at the time.

Now, a full season in, DWTS executive producer Rob Wade confirmed that Hough is coming back for season 20 in March. He observed that she managed to improve her judging over the course of the season.

"This was her first season as a judge and I don't think anyone has any idea how difficult it is to be a judge," he told E! News. "I thought she got better and better. She's incredibly knowledgeable."

Another recent addition to the show who has been a polarizing figure is co-host Erin Andrews. Despite some fans not liking her, Wade confirmed that she too will be returning for season 20 alongside Tom Bergeron.

"Yes, Erin's back too. We're very happy with the show," Wade admitted. "This is a great family. We're behind our cast 100 percent."

It remains to be seen if some fans will come around to Hough and Andrews in season 20.

Dancing With the Stars is set to premiere its 20th season on Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
