Clint Eastwood caused quite the stir at the Republican National Convention in August, but the Democrats will have much more star power on hand when the party convenes in Charlotte, N.C., this week.

Pundits are still guessing whether some of President Barack Obama's biggest supporters, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, will be in attendance, but a host of famous faces are already scheduled to pop up in Charlotte.

The Charlotte Observer reports that an appearance from Pitt is likely. Less probable is George Clooney, who has said he won't be in attendance. However, Charlotte residents reported spotting Clooney and Matthew McConaughey jogging together in the city this weekend. Clooney wouldn't be a surprise, considering he has become fast friends with Obama and hosted a fundraiser for him last month.

Among the list of names definitely confirmed to appear at the DNC are Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, America Ferrera, will.i.am, Wilmer Valderrama and Russell Simmons.

An online-only convention special set to take place Thursday will also include interviews with celebrities like Elizabeth Banks, Marc Anthony, Zach Braff, Olivia Wilde, Alexis Bledel, Aisha Tyler and Fran Drescher.

Reports said the celeb turnout this year wouldn't be as big as 2008, which could be partially attributed to Charlotte being a difficult city for airline connections and the fact that many celebrities are flocking to MTV's Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday.
