A new report reveals that Terminator: Genisys will be stylistically pretty close to the second movie in the franchise, Judgment Day.

Child Actor To Play SkyNet In Terminator: Genisys?

An inside source told Terminator Fans about how the movie has got the same look and feel as Judgment Day, and in general stays pretty true to James Cameron's aesthetic template with the films. The report also revealed that Sydance Productions, the studio behind Genisys, also emphasized on the need to keep the visual style in tandem with the rest of the movies in the franchise.

Initially, it was reported that the film will be a reboot, that is not exactly true. It has been reported that Terminator: Genisys will rewind to the first two films in the series and will move back and forth in the plot with the help of time travel scenes. Which means a lot of the plot points will also draw from Judgment Day.

Terminator: Genisys Is A "Reset" That "Shifts The Course Of Everything"

The first official look at the movie was revealed in Entertainment Weekly in October. In the excerpts available online it is revealed that Sarah of Genisys will actually be quite different from the Sarah fans have known until now. She will not be a diffident waif, who is completely thrown by the Terminator tracking her and clueless about her destiny as John Connor's (Jason Clarke) mother and the war against Skynet. The new Sarah Connor will be aware of her destiny since she is 9 years of age and will be raised by an older T-800, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Co-producer David Ellison dished about this aspect of Sarah's character.

"Since she was 9 years old, she has been told everything that was supposed to happen," Ellison said. "But Sarah fundamentally rejects that destiny. She says, 'That's not what I want to do.' It's her decision that drives the story in a very different direction."

The magazine's cover features Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) raging on a bike, as Sarah handles steers the ride, with Reese behind her holding out his heavy-weight gun. The alternate cover features John Connor and actor Matt Smith, whose character has not been revealed yet.

Another very interesting aspect of this film is the fact that the cyborg will age. Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that the Terminator won't defy mortality for the very first time.

"The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath," he said. "It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages."

The actor also suggested that there would be multiple cyborgs in the film.

Terminator: Genisys is scheduled to release in July 2015.
