Just a few weeks into Fox's breakout series Empire, Jamal Lyon is definitely a fan favorite as he appears to be the moral one in the tainted family. But actor Jussie Smollett has implied that could change in the near future.

Smollett dished to MTV News Wednesday and agreed that he is the "moral center."

"Yes. For now," he joked.

Fans saw in Wednesday night's (Jan. 21) episode that Jamal was caught in the middle of his mother, Cookie's antics and was extremely close to being shot and killed. Smollett said that Jamal will definitely be making some character changes for the worse.

"I really, really love my job, and I would really love to keep it, so I'm going to keep hush about that. However, what I will say is that you will see Jamal slowly start to become exactly who he did not want to be."

He also spoke on the now infamous scene in which Jamal's sister-in-law Rhonda put on a bib before she got intimate with Andre.

"The mind of crazy a-- Lee Daniels! He's crazy. That's why we love him. But you know, Rhonda and Andre are extremely impulsive, and she's in her outfit about to go to work- she can't get messy. And now I guarantee you people will be buying bibs!"

While it has been rumored that Oprah Winfrey (who is a good friend of the show's creator Lee Daniels) will be joining the show, Smollett stayed quiet on the speculation. But he did say that he would love Kanye West and Janet Jackson to have cameos.
