Blake Shelton's gig on Saturday Night Live is coming up this weekend and the whole thing has his wife a bit concerned.

Miranda Lambert Reveals Her First Big Talent

Appearing on the NBC comedy show has always been a "dream" for 38-year-old Shelton, but according to the singer his wife and fellow country artist, Miranda Lambert, has a few fears about him being on on the program.

"I think there's a little part of Miranda that's really worried about this. I mean, just to be completely honest," admitted the Neon Light singer during an interview with E! on Wednesday.

Blake Shelton Speaks Out For The Armed Forces

"Miranda's always the one when we're at parties or something and I'm being funny and start taking it too far into gross land or whatever," he explained, "She's the one that's always like, 'Blake, Blake, stop it.' She won't be here when we do this and there won't be anybody."

Unfortunately for Shelton, and perhaps for his wife too, Lambert will be performing the night of his episode as part of her Certified Platinum Tour. Halfway across the country, she'll be helpless in censoring her husband.

"She's like a stage mom," Shelton noted affectionately. "And she won't be here to go, 'Oh, I really don't think you should do that.'"

With Shelton working with a cast like the one over at SNL, Lambert might just be justified in worrying about what he might say or do.

Shelton will make his debut on NBC's Saturday Night Live on Saturday, Jan. 24.
