Although Shia LaBeouf has been in heavy promotion mode for his newly released Prohibition-era flick "Lawless," buzz over his next role has still been taking over the limelight.

The upcoming film titled "Nymphomaniac" will require the 26-year-old actor to partake in real sex. LaBeouf had publically confirmed on Aug. 15th that director Lars von Trier was looking to show onscreen sex acts, and that he intended to follow whatever the risqué director leads him to do, according to MTV.

According to USA Today on Aug. 27th, LaBeouf had touched on his rationale for doing the explicit film.

"There's a way to do an acid trip like Harold & Kumar, and there's a way to be on acid. What I know of acting, Sean Penn actually strapped up to that [electric] chair in Dead Man Walking. These are the guys that I look up to," he said.

"My dad used to watch cowboy movies with me. And anytime some cowboy would say something eloquent or poignant, my dad would stop the movie, rewind it and play it again. 'Did you get that? OK.' Then we'd watch the rest of the movie. And this is most of my childhood," LaBeouf added.

While making a "Chelsea Handler" appearance on Aug. 30th, LaBeouf claimed that he had actually sent the unorthodox director real-life sexual footage of him and his girlfriend in order to snag the role.

"I sent him videotapes of me and my girlfriend having sex and that's how I got the job. I don't know what it's gonna be until I get it out there. I know he's a very dangerous director, I know we're trying to do something different. It's not your typical film. It's about what it's about."

"The Nymphomaniac," which also has Nicole Kidman attached to it, is slated to be released in 2013.
