He might be splitting his time between the East and West coasts for work, but Ryan Gosling is still being a doting dad for his daughter Esmeralda.

The actor has been spending time in both L.A.--where his girlfriend, Eva Mendes, and their daughter live--and Atlanta, Ga. where he has been working on filming his new movie The Nice Guys, and though his schedule has been forcing him to jet back and forth, he is still loving and thoroughly enjoying his responsibilities as a dad.

"He's been wanting to be a father for a long time," a source told People. "He's cherishing every minute.

Part of Gosling's responsibilities when he is home appear to include singing to his daughter-something the baby loves.

"[The baby] is smiling and cooing and loves when Ryan sings to her," the source added.

And because the couple forgoes having a nanny and is choosing to raise their daughter themselves, they're tired-but the responsibilities haven't dampened their love for each other.

And though Gosling and Mendes have no plans to marry anytime soon, fans shouldn't be worried that the pair are hitting a rough patch and are making plans to split anytime soon-because being parents has made them happier than ever.

"Eva and Ryan are so happy," the source said.

However, despite their life together being so wonderful, the couple may need to be on the lookout for Gosling's stalker, as the temporary restraining order he had granted against her has since been removed-and the actor was unable to get it extended because the woman can't be located.
