Cookie is certainly a force to reckon with on Fox's breakout series Empire. But one woman who can get under her skin is her ex-husband, Lucious Lyon's new wife Anika Calhoun, played by actress Grace Gealey. Gealey opened up about what Anika has up her sleeve for the rest of the season.

Jussie Smollett To Lose Good Guy Status On 'Empire', He'll 'Become Exactly Who Did Not Want To Be'

She spoke with Sister 2 Sister magazine Wednesday and said that while she has only had a few scenes so far, she is gonna be wreaking havoc soon enough.

"The real question is what can you not expect (laughs). In the beginning you don't see that much because you are laying down the foundation of the show but now that we're in it starting with episode 3 you will see more of Anika and more of the other characters as well. Anika's fighting for the empire too! I'm a huge advocate for Anika."

Tensions 'Heat Up' Between Lucious & Cookie After He Favors Hakeem Over Jamal

The only problem is it seems she and Cookie want a different type of Empire. It only makes sense for Anika and Cookie to bump heads considering she's not only the new woman in Lucious' life, but it's hard to tell if she has the Empire company's best interest at heart. Especially since she convinced Lucious to keep on a disrespectful artist who was known for downgrading women.

Still, all of the drama is certainly for the camera. Gealey, who also starred in Rent, said that she enjoys working opposite Taraji P. Henson & Terrence Howard.

"They've been phenomenal. It's been a true honor to share the screen with them. Taraji is so much fun, she's so improvisational and so intuitive and Terrence is very present and a very honest actor and we have wonderful vulnerable moments that will be coming up in the future that the audience will enjoy."
