'Love And Hip Hop New York' Cast Season 5: Yandy Talks Getting 'Fairytale' With Mendeecees After His Jail Stint [VIDEO]
Love & Hip Hop New York star Yandy proved she is a true ride or die chick when she stuck by her fiancé Mendeecees while he was in jail for more than a year. She opened up about staying faithful and defending Mendeecees during the most difficult time of their relationship.
"As long as I still loved him was as long as I was going to be there. If I started to lose love, then I'd have to act accordingly. It wasn't a matter of, 'I'm down because that's just the type of woman.' No, I loved him," she told Essence magazine Thursday. "That was my friend. I was able to get a flight pass and go see him every week. I took the kids sometimes. We talked every day."
She revealed that their wedding will be this summer and said they definitely have the On The Run type love like Beyonce and Jay Z.
"The tag line of our relationship is, 'Who wants a perfect love story anyway?' from Beyoncé with Jay Z's song. I want a fairy tale wedding."

Yandy added that this was not the first time she and Mendeecees went through a hard time. She said they actually split up for a year a long time ago when she went on the road with rapper and producer Missy Elliott. She said they both moved on but it didn't take long for them to "bump into" one another and spark up their relationship once again. This time for good.
"It was like love at first sight again. He was like, 'I'm not letting you get away from me this time.' We both ended our other involvements and it's been nonstop since that moment."
