Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong is back on the stage after being rushed to the hospital.

To the devastation of many Green Day fans, the group's tour came to a stretching halt in Italy when Armstrong was hospitalized for a throat issue. The band, like their fans, expressed their broken hearts over not being able to entertain their Italian fans.

"We apologize profusely," Dirnt commented. "Billy got rushed to the hospital last night due to illness. The doctors don't think it's a good idea for him to play today."

"We're beyond devastated," Tré Cool said. "We're as sad as you guys are. Billie's extremely upset about it, and we'll see you very soon."

The band has not chosen to release any of the details about Armstrong's stay, only that it was a throat issue.  While fans are wondering about the fine details, they are even happier to see the band back up and doing what they do best. Back in LA, according to the Los Angeles Times, Armstrong is moving forward.
