The second season premiere of Black Sails is almost about to air where some details have been revealed on what's about to go down.

What's Next For Flint & Silver In 'Black Sails?'

On Friday, IGN posted an interview with the show's creators Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine who dished on flashbacks and other big surprises coming along.

"The flashbacks were primarily about Flint and we wanted him to be at the center of the story," Levine said. "The flashbacks are designed to take you fully back to him to London and to really get at who he was before he was Flint. They're great because they're threaded through the season and they continue to leave off- some of the biggest moments in the season come from that story so you never feel like you're just getting information."

Is There Going To Be A Third Season Of 'Black Sails?'

There is also the matter of what Flint's relationship is going to be like with Silver, which will be important for the new season.

"There's a moment where the two of them now only have each other and they have to figure out a way to begin this relationship that is really the spine of hopefully a long-running series for Captain Flint and John Silver and what their evolving relationship is and hopefully leading up to the events of the book," Steinberg said. "I think the beginning of Season 2 is really the spark for that."

It sounds like these two characters are going to hae to work through a lot as they come across some wild new adventures.

Black Sails Season 2 premieres on Saturday, January 24 at 9 p.m. ET on Starz.
