Prince William and Princess Kate are well on their way to a sunny getaway with little Prince George.

Why Kate Middleton Might Be Expecting A Baby Girl

On Friday, People confirmed that the one-year-old prince will be in the Caribbean this week to celebrate the 60th birthday of his grandmother, Carole Middleton.

The winter vacation is a long standing tradition for the Middleton family and one that William and Kate have been a part of since before they were married. In 2014 Kate and George joined her parents for the getaway, though William had been busy studying at Cambridge University at the time. This year it looks like the whole family will make it for the trip, which will be a special treat for George given that it will likely be his last family vacation before welcoming a new brother or sister.

Kate Middleton Calms 'Shy' 2-Year-Old

This month the pregnant Princess Kate was busy with a number of royal duties, including charity events and the naming of a school. She visited foster children and opened a rec center at the same location where her husband had first learned to swim as a boy. Prince William, in turn, has been occupied with his studies all month.

While Kate is set to resume these duties upon returning to London, she is likely thankful for the time she'll get to spend with her family this week.

Kate is expected to give birth to her second child in April.
